        This morning drive to LaSalette high in the French Alps. Here in 1846 a weeping Blessed Mother appeared to two shepherd girls to bring them a dire warning and ask for repentance, prayer and penance.         This morning drive south from Dublin through the Wicklow Mountains to Glendalough. Here we take a guided tour of the 6h century monastic settlement to see the round tower and remains of several churches. The Visitor Center explains the history of this early Christian site that was an important center of learning. Next drive south through pleasant farmland to the marketing town of Carlow and on to your hotel in Kilkenny for dinner and overnight.

      • DAY 04 – BLARNEY/CORK CITY/KILLARNEY

        Driving just a few miles to Blarney we will have an opportunity to climb to the battlements of Blarney Castle to kiss the famed “stone of eloquence” and then visit the Blarney Woolen Mills to view a range of Irish products. On our return to Cork be prepared for some walking as the city is built on many hills. Visit Shandon Church, St. Anne’s Church, and Finbarr’s Cathedral. Just outside Cork visit the Cobh Heritage Center which was opened in 1993 and depicts the varied history of emigration from Ireland and many European countries to the United States over the past 150 years. Cobh was the last port of call for many liners that carried emigrants to the New World. The display is housed in the rail station through which all of the Irish emigrants had to pass. End the day at your hotel in Killarney for dinner and overnight.

      • DAY 05 – RING OF KERRY/KILLARNEY

        Drive through Macroom into Killarney where we travel around the Ring of Kerry, one of Ireland’s most popular drives. Starting in Killarney this tour takes us around the highest mountains, the Magillycuddy’s Reeks, and the constantly changing views of mountains and shorelines makes this a memorable ride. En route we visit the Gallarus Oratory where we celebrate Mass. Drive through the remote villages of Cahirciveen and Derryrname to Sneem; a village of colorful houses grouped around two squares. Then drive through Moll’s Gap, with its views over the three lakes. Finally we stop at Muckrosse House and garden “Manor House” before returning to the hotel in Killarney for dinner and overnight.

    • DAY 06 – CLIFFS OF MOHER/GALWAY

      This morning depart Killarney and drive north via the village of Adare, well known for its main street of thatched cottages and colorful gardens. Stopping at the city of Limerick on the banks of the River Shannon, we drive past the Treaty Stone, St. Mary’s Cathedral and the many Georgian houses in the Crescent. Next visit King John’s Castle with its massive battlements and towers that guarded the river and the city in medieval times. Then head north through Ennis to visit the Cliffs of Moher that rise 700 feet above the sea and extend for five miles along the coast. Then on through the Burren Country, an area of limestone hills with a wide range of flora, to Galway, the major city of the western region. Continue to our hotel in Galway for dinner and overnight.

    • DAY 07 – GALWAY/KNOCK

      This morning visit the principal sights of Galway including the modern cathedral where we celebrate Mass before visiting the Spanish Arch in the former fishing village of Claddagh and Lynch’s Castle which was a prosperous merchant’s house dating from the 13th century. Next we travel to view Croagh Patrick where St. Patrick spent Lent in the year 441. Then pass the gentle hills of the Maamturk Mountains and the Twelve Bens to visit Kylemore Abbey, a 19th century neo-Gothic mansion in a charming setting which is now a girl’s school. This evening drive to the hotel in Knock for dinner and overnight.

    • DAY 08 – KNOCK

      This is the village where in 1879 the figures of Mary, mother of Jesus, St. Joseph and St. John the Evangelist were reported to have appeared in a vision before 15 local people. Since then this village has been the center of pilgrimages every year. View the Basilica of Knock and celebrate Mass. Also visit Ballintubber Abbey. Return to the hotel in Knock for dinner and overnight.

    • DAY 09 – KNOCK/SLIGO/DUBLIN

      Today enjoy free time in Knock and then depart to Sligo, described by William Butler Yeats as the “land of heart’s desire.” Visit the poet’s grave in a quiet churchyard at Drumcliff. On our way back to Ireland’s capital city we first visit the Boyne Valley and one of the three great Neolithic tombs at Dowth, Knowth or Newgrange. Continue to Strokestown to see the Famine Museum before ending the day at your hotel in Dublin for dinner and overnight.

        Venice has been referred to as the “Queen of Cities” and this morning you enjoy her beauty as you celebrate Mass at St. Marks Cathedral. Spend the rest of the morning walking through the square and visiting the Doges Palace and the Bridge of Sighs. This afternoon, depart for Padua where St. Anthony spent much of his public ministry. He was such a great orator that no church was large enough to hold those who came to hear him. For most of us, he is known as the
        Patron Saint of things lost. After celebrating Mass in the Basilica of St. Anthony, review various art works including the largest bronze works of Donatello. Dinner and overnight.

      • DAY 04- FLORENCE / SIENA / ASSISI

        Depart to Florence. Have Mass at Santa Croce Church, followed by a tour of Florence to include the Baptistery, with its celebrated bronze doors, see the Dumo, Ponte Vecchio. and if time permits visit the Fine Academy and see the Statue of David by Michelangelo. After lunch, drive to Siena, birthplace of St. Catherine of Siena, see the Basilica and drive to Assisi for dinner and overnight.

      • DAY 05- ASSISI

        Today’s tour includes a visit to St. Mary of the Angel Church in Portiuncula, St. Francis’ Chapel, the Rose Garden, Francis’ Cave and the chapel of Francis’ death. Following Mass, continue to the Tomb of St. Francis and St. Clare’s Church where her body lies intact and where the famous St. Damioni Crucifix who spoke to St. Francis is located.       • DAY 06- ORVIETO/ ROME

        Depart Assisi and travel to Orvieto, site of the Eucahristic Miracle, and see the cathedral and it is the landmark of the city. View the holy corporal containing the blood from the Eucahristic Miracle of Orvieto in 1263, that occaisioned the proclamation of the Feast of Corpus Christi.Continue to Rome for dinner and overnight.

      • DAY 07 – ROME

        Today’s tour of Rome includes the Basilicas of St. Mary Majore and St. John Lateran (the Cathedral of Rome), the Holy Stairs and Holy Cross in Jerusalem. This afternoon visit the Church of St. Paul Outside the Walls, Quo Vadis and the Catacombs of Priscilla where we celebrate Mass. End the day at your hotel for dinner and overnight.

        Depart by bus and travel the coastal road along the Saronic Gulf to the Corinth Canal which connects the Aegean and Ionian seas. Continue to Ancient Corinth, Paul’s beloved city and the site of his most extensive ministry where he set up the first Christian church. Visit the Bema (Judgment Seat) where Paul stood before Gallo and preached to the Corinthians, the Temple of Apollo and the ancient museum.       • DAY 4 – ATHENS / PIRAEUS / MYKONOS

        Transfer to the port of Piraeus and board your cruise ship for a 3-day, 2- night cruise of the Aegean Sea. It is said that three days on the Aegean gives one a true sense of Greece’s layered history and a great respect for the God-given majesty of the Aegean’s breath-taking islands. The first port call is Mykonos, an island of beautiful beaches, secluded coves, dazzling white-washed houses, narrow paved streets and windmills which cover the island. Mykonos is also known for its churches – 365 of them dot the beautiful island. Return to the ship for dinner and overnight at sea.

      • DAY 5 – PATMOS / KUSADASI (EPHESUS)

        You will have an early morning arrival at the port of Patmos this morning for a visit to the Monastery of St. John where the original gospel manuscript is on display. Then visit the Grotto of the Apocalypse where you see the silver niches in the wall that mark the pillow and ledge used as a desk by the author of the Book of Revelations as well as the three-fold crack made by the voice of God emphasizing the honor of the Trinity. Return to the ship for a short sail to the island of Kusadasi (Ephesus). You will gather your luggage and disembark the ship before boarding your coach for a visit to Mt. Koressos, site of the House of the Virgin Mary where Mary resided after the crucifixion and is believed to have spent her last days. Continue to the ancient city of Ephesus for a guided walking tour through one of the most magnificent excavated cities in the world. See the Odeon (concert hall), the Fountain of Trajan, the steam-heated Baths of Scolastika, the Temple of Hadrian and the latrians, the Library of Celsus and the Great Theatre of Ephesus where Paul preached. Return to your coach via the Arcadian Way where Marc Anthony and Cleopatra once rode in procession as newlyweds. Return to cruise ship for dinner and overnight.

      • DAY 6 – CRETE / SANTORINI

        Crete is the largest and the most rugged of the Greek Islands. It is also the home of the great Minoan Civilization and the mythological home of Zeus. After a short drive through the town of Heaklion, the tour will arrive at the Knossos excavations. Here, Sir Arthur Evan’s archaeological discoveries revealed a civilization dating back to 4000 B. C., when a great empire flourished on the island of Crete. Having visited the remarkable site you coaches will take you to the heart of Heraklion where you will be given some free time to explore its beauties combining the facilities of a modern city with the unique Greek islands’ ambience. You will the re board your motor coach for the return journey to the Venetian lion-guarder port of Heraklion to rejoin your ship. The ship will sail to the beautiful island of Santorini. The island of Santorini is perhaps the most breath taking of all the Greek Islands. In the town of Thira white-washed houses, narrow streets, open-air cafes and glittering boutiques cling to steep cliffs, accessible by cable-car or mule. Return to ship to sail back to Athens.

        Arrive Piraeus, you will disembark from the cruise and drive to Athens airport and board the non stop flight to Izmir. Meet & greet at the airport by Turkish tour guide and drive directly to Izmir for mass at St. Polycarp Church. Continue to Pamukkale for dinner and overnight at Hotel Colossae.

      • DAY 8 – HIEROPOLIS/LAODICEA/COLOSSE/PHILADELPHIA/IZMIR.

        Early morning start visiting the Roman spa town of Hierapolis with its vast necropolis, colonnaded street, theatre and white terraced pools. Then in 10 kms distance visit Laodicea, a crossroad of the ancient world, home of Philip the Evangelist and sharply criticized as being lukewarm. Then visit Colossae which was famous for fantastic theological theories in early Christian times. Although Paul himself never went there, he addressed his epistle to the Colossians through his fellow worker, Epaphras, who lived at Colossae. Continue to Philadelphia, the city of brotherly love and the youngest of 7 churches, and is referred to as the “ New Jerusalem “. 5 pm Mass at St. Policarp Church (subject to permissions) Dinner and overnight at Hotel Ontur Izmir in Symirna.

      • DAY 9 – IZMIR/SARDIS/THAYATIRA/PERGAMUM

        Symirna (today’s Izmir) is the second one of the 7 Churches, to which St. John the Divine wrote, also recipient of a letter from St. Paul praising the early believers for their faithfullness. Continue to Sardis, one of the most picturesque of all areas of any of the Seven Churches. Sardis was also the capital of Lydian realm of Croesus. Continue to Thyatira to visit the ancient temple, the colonnaded road and the church. Today’s last visit is to Pergamum , the place where St. John wrote to the church of Pergamum, “Satan’s throne is sited “. We then head to the village of Ein Karem, the birthplace of St John the Baptist and to the Church of Visitation where the Blessed Virgin Mary visited her cousin, Elizabeth, and proclaimed the ‘Magnificat’. In the afternoon we drive to the Shepherd’s Fields where the angels announced the birth of Jesus. Then we visit the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem that stands upon the site where Jesus was born. After breakfast at our hotel we return to the Old City of Jerusalem to visit St. Anne’s Church, the home of the Virgin Mary and her parents Saints Joachim and Anne. We pass the Ecce Homo where Pilate proclaimed “Behold the man”; then the Wailing Wall, the most holy place for Jews. Nearby is the Dome of the Rock and the Haram al Sharif or Temple Mount. We exit at Mt Zion. At the Cenacle we visit the Upper Room of the Last Supper. Next we go to Dormition Abbey where we believe the Blessed Mary died. At the oasis town of Jericho, visit the excavations of the oldest city in the world and view Mt. Temptation where Jesus fasted and was tempted by Satan. On the way back there is time for a swim (or rather a float!) in the mineral-rich waters of the Dead Sea, renowned for its healing properties. In the afternoon, there will be time for you to revisit some of your favorite sites and time for last minute buying of gifts for your loved ones.

Carmel to see the mountain of Elijah, where we will visit Elijah’s cave and the cradle of the Carmelite Order at the Shrine of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. Continue to Megiddo, one of Solomon’s Chariot cities, to see the excavations and the Plains of Armageddon. Continue up the hill overlooking the Sea of Galilee to the beautiful Mount of Beatitudes where you have time for private prayer in the gardens before celebrating Mass at one of the outside altars overlooking the sea. Depart by bus to the Church of the Primacy and the Benedictine Basilica commemorating the multiplication of the loaves and the fishes.         Leaving the Sea of Galilee this morning you drive down the Jordan Valley to Jericho for a visit to the Tel of the ancient city and a view the Mt. of Temptation. Continue to the Dead Sea, time for a swim. Visit Qumran, the site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, and continue to Masada, visit the ruins of the fortress where from 70 – 73 ad, the Jewish defenders made the last stand of the Judean revolt against Rome. Stop at the Inn of the Good Samaritan before continuing to Bethany to see the church and the tomb of Lazarus. On to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight at your hotel.

      • 6th DAY JERUSALEM / OLD CITY

        Enter the Old City through St. Stephen’s Gate, stopping at the Pools of Bethesda before continuing on the Via Dolorosa and Way of the Cross. Included are stops at the Chapel of the Flagellation, Lithostrotos, and the Arch of Ecco Homo and all remaining Stations of the Cross before arriving at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre where you celebrate Mass. This afternoon visit the Dome of the Rock, El Aqsa Mosque, the ancient Jewish Wailing Wall, the Citadel, David’s Tower and the Russian excavations. Return to your Jerusalem hotel for dinner and overnight.

      • 7th DAY JERUSALEM / BETHLEHEM

        Begin your day in Jerusalem at the top of the Mount of Olives with its famous view of the Temple Mount. Walking down the Mount of Olives you stop at Dominus Flevit where Jesus wept over Jerusalem before passing by the Russian Church of Mary Magdalene on our way to the Garden of Gethsemane to view the venerable olive trees which witnessed Jesus’ solitary vigil. Visit the Church of All Nations before celebrating Mass there or at one of the other churches adjacent to the Garden. This afternoon continue to Bethlehem, passing the tomb of Rachel and the Field of Boaz. In Bethlehem you visit the Grotto of the Nativity, the Oratory of the Manager and the cave where St. Jerome lived the latter portion of his life after translating the Bible into Latin. Complete the afternoon with a visit to the Shepherd’s Field before returning to your Jerusalem hotel for dinner and overnight.

      • 8th DAY MT. ZION /KIDRON VALLEY/ JERUSALEM

        Drive to Mt. Zion to visit the Room of the Last Supper and visit King David’s Tomb. Continue to the Friary “Coenaculum” for Mass at the Most Blessed Sacrament. Drive to the Kidron Valley, see the Pool of Siloam and Hezekiah Tunnel. Rest of the day is free. Dinner and overnight.

      • 9th DAY JERUSALEM / ROME

        This morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Rome. Upon arrival you will be met and enjoy a tour of Rome including the Basilicas of St. Mary Majore and St. John Lateran (Cathedral of Rome), and the Holy Stairs. Then drive the Caracakka Baths along the Old Appian Way, passing Domine Quo Vadis, for a
        spiritually rewarding visit to the Catacombs. Return to your Rome hotel for dinner and overnight.

    • 10th DAY ROME

      Visit Vatican City, including St. Peter’s Basilica, largest church in the world, the Vatican museum with it’s halls of paintings, tapestries, and statuary, and the breathtaking Sistine Chapel. See the Mamertine Prison, where Paul was imprisoned, view the Roman Forum, the Colosseum, and the St. Peter in Chains Church, containing Michaelangelo’s masterpiece, the Statue of Moses. Enjoy a visit to Trevi Fountain , and the Spanish Steps, before returning to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

    • 11th DAY ROME /PAPAL AUDIENCE

      This morning transfer to the Vatican to attend the Papal audience. Balance of day free. Dinner and overnight.

        Arrive Frankfurt. Change planes to Athens. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to the hotel in Athens, dinner and overnight.

      • DAY 03: ATHENS/PIRAEUS/MYKONOS

        Transfer to the port of Piraeus and board your cruise ship for a 4-day, 3- night cruise of the Aegean Sea. It is said that three days on the Aegean gives one a true sense of Greece’s layered history and a great respect for the God-given majesty of the Aegean’s breath-taking islands. The first port call is Mykonos, an island of beautiful beaches, secluded coves, dazzling white-washed houses, narrow paved streets and windmills which cover the island. Mykonos is also known for its churches – 365 of them dot the beautiful island. Return to the ship for dinner and overnight at sea.

      • DAY 04: PATMOS/KUSADASI (EPHESUS)

        You will have an early morning arrival at the port of Kusadasi (Ephesus). Disembark the ship and board your coach for a visit to the ancient city of Ephesus for a guided walking tour through one of the most magnificent excavated cities in the world. See the Odeon (concert hall), the Fountain of Trajan, the steam-heated Baths of Scolastika, the Temple of Hadrian and the latrians, the Library of Celsus and the Great Theatre of Ephesus where Paul preached. Return to your coach via the Arcadian Way where Marc Anthony and Cleopatra once rode in procession as newlyweds. Return to the ship for a short sail to the island of Patmos for a visit to the Monastery of St. John where the original gospel manuscript is on display. Then visit the Grotto of the Apocalypse where you see the silver niches in the wall that mark the pillow and ledge used as a desk by the author of the Book of Revelations as well as the three-fold crack made by the voice of God. Return to the ship for dinner and your overnight sailing to Crete.

      • DAY 05: CRETE/SANTORINI

        You will have an early morning arrival at the port of Heraklion (Crete) for a tour of Knossos, once the capital city of the prehistoric Minoan civilization. Enjoy a tour of the excavations of the Palace of King Minos and the surrounding area. Return to the ship for a short sail to the island of Santorini. Depart the ship by tender to Athenios Harbor to board your motorcoach for an uphill drive to the village of Oia. Enjoy free time exploring the city of Oia before returning to the ship for your overnight sail to Piraues.

      • DAY 06: ATHENS/CORINTH

        You will be met with the guide and driver at Piraeus and then you will drive to Corinth.
        You will have a tour of the Corinth Canal, the Ancient Corinth, the Excavations, and the Bema Seat. Then return to Athens for your tour to include the Parthenon, the Acropolis, Mars Hill, where Paul preached, and the Agora (ancient marketplace). Continue touring of the Plaka district. Dinner and overnight.

      • DAY 07: ATHENS / TEL AVIV / MT CARMEL, STELLA MARIS, CAESAREA,

        Transfer to the airport for your flight to Tel Aviv. Upon arrival, you will be met and go to Old Joppa for Mass at the church. Then travel via the coast to Caesarea, where the Romans held Paul prisoner. Visit the Roman and Crusader ruins. Continue onto Stella Maris, a Carmelite Monastery with the Madonna of Mt Carmel. Time for Mass. Drive through the Jezreel Valley to Tiberias for dinner and overnight.

      • DAY 08: THE MINISTRY OF CHRIST IN THE GALILEE:

        TIBERIAS, BOAT RIDE, SEA OF GALILEE, CAPERNAUM, MT. BEATITUDES, CAESAREA PHILIPPI.
        Some of today’s highlights are a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee to Capernaum to see the synagogue and St Peter’s house, a visit to the Mount of the Beatitudes where the Sermon on the Mount was given, to Tabgha to see the splendid mosaic about the miracle of the loaves and fishes, and to the nearby Church of Peter’s Primacy where Peter was told ” Feed my lambs, feed my sheep.” There will be an unforgettable Mass near the shores of the Sea of Galilee at the Primacy or Mt Beatitudes. In the afternoon we visit Caesarea Philippi, location of the testimony of St. Peter and where Jesus answered him “You are the Rock and upon this rock I will build my Church.” Dinner and overnight at your hotel in the Galilee.

      • DAY 09 : GOING UP TO JERUSALEM

        CANA, NAZARETH, BASILICA OF THE ANNUNCIATION, MT TABOR, JERUSALEM
        We start the day with a visit to Cana, the village of Jesus’ first miracle of changing water into wine; here couples may renew their wedding vows. Continue to the Basilica of Annunciation in Nazareth where we will celebrate Mass and visit Mary’s Well and the Church of the Angel Gabriel. Drive on to Mount Tabor, scene of the Transfiguration. Afterwards drive through the Jordan Valley and then up through the Judean hills to the Holy City of Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

      • DAY 10: JERUSALEM, THE HOLY CITY AND BETHLEHEM THE NATIVITY

        MT OLIVES, CHURCH OF VISITATION, SHEPHERD’S FIELDS, CHURCH OF THE NATIVITY
        On the first day in Jerusalem we present an overview for a better understanding of its geography and some of the key sites surrounding the area. This includes a dramatic view of the Old City from the Mount of Olives, revealing a city with 4000 years of history. From this vantage point see much of what makes Jerusalem such a unique city to the three major religions – Judaism, Christianity and Islam. We then head to the village of Ein Karem, the birthplace of St John the Baptist and to the Church of Visitation where the Blessed Virgin Mary visited her cousin, Elizabeth, and proclaimed the ‘Magnificat’. In the afternoon we drive to the Shepherd’s Fields where the angels announced the birth of Jesus. Then we visit the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem that stands upon the site where Jesus was born. Mass in Bethlehem or the Shepherds Fields.This evening we will make the Traditional Pilgrims Solemn Entry into the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Jerusalem.

    • DAY 11 : STATIONS OF THE CROSS, CHURCH OF THE HOLY SEPULCHRE, ST ANNE’S CHURCH. ECCE HOMO, CHURCH OF THE HOLY SEPULCHRE, WAILING WALL, UPPER ROOM, DORMITION.

      Early in the morning we retrace the last steps of Jesus. As we walk along the Via Dolorosa (Way of Sorrow), through the markets of the Old City praying the Stations of the Cross, we reflect on the greatness of His sacrifice. Finally we arrive at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre for Mass. After breakfast at our hotel we return to the Old City of Jerusalem to visit St. Anne’s Church, the home of the Virgin Mary and her parents Saints Joachim and Anne. We pass the Ecce Homo where Pilate proclaimed “Behold the man”; then the Wailing Wall, the most holy place for Jews. Nearby is the Dome of the Rock and the Haram al Sharif or Temple Mount. We exit at Mt Zion. At the Cenacle we visit the Upper Room of the Last Supper. Next we go to Dormition Abbey where we believe the Blessed Mary died. We end the day at St. Peter in Gallicantu where Peter denied Him thrice. We plan to have an audience this afternoon with His Beatitude, the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Jerusalem

    • DAY 12 : JERUSALEM, THE PASSION OF JESUS’ LAST HOURS:

      BETHANY, MT OLIVES, PALM SUNDAY, DOMINUS FLEVIT, GETHSEMANE, CAVE OF BETRAYAL, CAVE OF ASSUMPTION, PATER NOSTER
      We begin our day with a visit to Bethany where Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. Then onto the Mt. of Olives to walk the Palm Sunday route stopping at Dominus Flevit, where Jesus wept over Jerusalem. Drive to Gethsemane, the Rock of Agony where Jesus prayed His last prayer before his arrest. Visit the cave of betrayal then the cave of the Assumption of Mary to heaven. Back on the Mt of Olives we visit the Pater Noster with the Lords Prayer in many languages, and the Ascension from where ascended to Heaven. On to Jericho, visit the excavations of the oldest city in the world and view Mt. Temptation where Jesus fasted and was tempted by Satan. On the way back there is time for a swim (or rather a float!) in the mineral-rich waters of the Dead Sea, renowned for its healing properties. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

    • DAY 13: JERUSALEM

      Drive to Mt. Zion and on to the Friary “Coenaculum” for Mass at the Most Blessed Sacrament. Drive through the Valley of the cross to Ein Karem, birthplace of John the Baptist, and visit the Church of the Visitation. Continue to Beth Shemesh to visit Deir Rifat and the sanctuary dedicated to Mary Queen of Palestine, the Patron Saint of the equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight.

    • DAY 14: TEL AVIV / FRANKFURT / DEPARTURE CITY

      Transfer to the airport for your flight to Frankfurt, and change planes to your hometown.
